We have released the second milestone of eTrice 0.4.

The project plan of the upcoming release [1] lists three themes. Lots of work has been done in each area.
Here is a list of the most important items. For a complete list see bugzilla [2] and [3].

* Dynamic Actors
o it is now possible to create actor instances (including contained instances recursively) dynamically at runtime
o a simple yet powerful persistence mechanism has been introduced for dynamic actors
o 9 examples are available from the eTrice New Wizard illustrating the possibilities of optional dynamic actors
* Consolidation of Existing Features: Model Editors, Generators and Runtimes (Java and C)
o rename refactoring support also updates diagrams
o some re-factorings that removed code duplications
o updated documentation
o many minor fixes
* Minor New Features
o physical and mapping model for Java
o introduction of annotation types
o instance configuration for replicated actors
o instance to thread mapping for replicated actors
o generate event dispatcher for manual behavior
o New Wizard also generates a launch configuration for the generated application
o New Wizard for new set of models (room, etphys, etmap) plus launch cinfigurations
o more quick fixes
o added Maven support for Java builds and wrapped the Java generator in a Maven plug-in
o enumerations supported as data type
o storing and re-storing of actor instances supported

Please install the Kepler based milestone from our update site [4] and try the new features.
