BIRT Report Design, XML source, and Eclipse formatting [message #1221461]

If I use the Eclipse Source/Format in the BIRT Report Design XML Source tab I get a source file that looks good but it can no longer be used by BIRT, it generates NullPointerExceptions trying to save or open.

I expect the BIRT doctor to say "If it hurts when you do that, don't do that", but, I thought I should bring this to your attention.

My environment is:
Eclipse IDE for Java and Report Developers

Version: Kepler Service Release 1
Build id: 20130919-0819
