Avoid Pagebreak between Reportitems [message #197837]

We are facing the problem that BIRT is not able to keep paragraphs
together even when the 'PageBreak before/after' is set to avoid.

I know it's an already logged bug, but this feature is essential for a
reporting tool! My question is whether there is any documentation on how
BIRT uses iText to create a pdf-Document.

Would the classes 'PDFEmitter' and 'PDFRender' be the place to start?
iText supports the feature to keep elements together in the paragraph
class,
but this class is not used.

How is BIRT planning to implement this feature?
