Debugging ncurses [message #1213947]

I've read a load of posts on this but don't see any real solution.

My app uses ncurses, when I debug the app the output goes to the console but since the eclipse console doesn't seem to understand ANSI or VT codes it simply displays them which make it impossible to intereact with the program.

Can anyone suggest a better way to debug an app such as this?
