Hi David,
RSE uses its own internal SSH client, which won't connect
to your plink server. But what you can do, is tell it
where your private key(s) are located.
Window > Preferences > General > Network Connections > SSH2
Pressing F1 there will give you some info. Basically,
enter an SSH Home Directory, where your private keys
are stored. I'm typically using NTFS Encryption and
permissions as an added security measure on that
directory.
In PuTTYGen, export your private key as an OpenSSH key.
In Eclipse, import it on the Key Management Tab. If the
private key is without passphrase, RSE will connect with
a blank password which you can also store, so then RSE
does not ask you any more.
