Hi,
I've just noticed that a Text example has been added to GEF in Jan, but,
try as i might, i couldn't run the example in Eclipse. When i put in the
plugins, i can easily see from New -> Other Examples -> Shapes, Flow,
Logic... but where's Text? or should i invoke the application in another
way?
Btw, apart from Eclipse 3.1, what other versions of Eclipse can this
example runs on?
Regards,
Evon

Create a new file with a .text extension.
A wizard for the text example has been added, and will be available in
3.1.1.

When I try to use the editor, the cursor somehow gets mis-aligned from
where I am typing. It seems random.

No, it's not random. We're very systematic in introducing bugs ;-)
Yes, the text example has several problems (there are bugzillas open about
it that you can search for), but that's because it's not completely done
yet. Still lots of things to fix and add.
What you say should work, however, so long as you're only typing on the same
line without going past the width of the viewer. Are you seeing problems
with that?
