I have previously committed a project into subversion using the eclipse subversion plugin.

I have read where the default svn:mime-type for .java source files is set to text/plain and I would like to change that in eclipse so that the .java source files are coded correctly in viewvc.

I understand that I have to add a mime-type in:
Windows/Preferences/Team/SVN/Properties Configuration.

I have tried using the following setting, and committing a comment change, but the subversion viewvc is still showing a svn:mime-type of text/plain.

What am I missing?

I should have set these properties before I shared the project. I'm now using the eclipse svn plugin to change the properties of all of these *.java, *.css, *.html, *.js, etc.
