validation of ccxml [message #188889] |

Our application edits ccxml, so we have associated our extension .ccxml with
the XML content type and use the XML editor in WTP.
When we validate the project, errors that show up in the XML editor for our
..ccxml content don't propogate to the problems tab (they do show up in the
editor itself though), but if I was to do the same to a .xml file they
would.
Is there another assocation I need to make to have the XML validator handle
my .ccxml file? Another ext point I need to define or possibly add CCXML
validator to the list?
On a side topic, why do you have to choose the validate menu option on a
project to run the WTP validators? Can't they just autorun or be setup that
way? My problems tab doesn't update with XML errors unless I manually run
the validate on a .xml file.
thank you

I found an answer to my question in the event anyone has a similar problem:
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=86385
There is an ext pt sample in there that is more of an interim solution until
content type assoc is supported by the validators.
