Per discussion in the TPTP PMC call Tuesday, we are proposing to defer our
TPTP 3.3 GA availability date to ~June 7 instead of the planned May 16 for
reasons explained below.
We have confirmed this change with the known consumers of TPTP 3.3, but
would like to confirm the change is not disruptive to other potential
consumers in the community.
Per our TPTP 3.3 schedule, we were to finalize testing and declare the GA on
Monday, May 16. However, two issues have surfaced that we deemed required
attention prior to declaring the GA. First, the schedule for non-English
translations is extending until June 6, and second, the new file transfer
implementation requires further stabilization which is expected to extend
into next week. As such, we still intend to close down our current
development cycle at the end of this week barring these two remaining items
which we will resolve prior to early June and declare our GA at that time
(~June 7). This arrangement will alleviate the expected need for a fast
turn-around maintenance release to address the file transfer issues and any
possible issues arising from incorporation of the translations.
Please let us know by reply to the message whether this change will cause
any substantial issues for your dependency on TPTP 3.3.
Thanks,
Tyler Thessin
