CVS keyword expansion not happening [message #187647] Fri, 30 January 2004 23:32 Go to next message

I have a successful Eclipse CVS integration with a repository of PHP files
(if that matters.)

The problem I'm trying to solve is: I've added various CVS keywords to my
source with no success in keyword substitution. I've been using $Id$,
$Revision$, $Name$ and others.

I've checked the settings in preferences and I have it set as:
ASCII with keyword expansion (-kkv)

which is the default I believe.

My server's CVS rev is 1.11.5 running on a SuSE 8.2 linux box and I'm using
Eclipse on both Windows (2.1.2) and OS X (version not specified/build
200311030802) Both workstations can connect and manipulate the repository
fine. Both systems exhibit similar behavior w/r to not substituting CVS
keywords.

What else should I be looking at to figure this out? Thanks for any help
and suggested avenues or solutions.

I pulled the Mac OS X 3.0 latest build today and fired it up. Keyword
expansion is working as expected.

Thanks
