Yes, I support your notion, that all subversive updates should be announced
on the announce mailing list. My guess is, that they are not announced
(yet), because the current work is supposed to be work leading up to the
"real" 0.7.0 release.
According to http://wiki.eclipse.org/Subversive_Plan 0.7.0 is supposed to be
released around May 20th, and 1.0.0. around June 10th. (On
http://www.eclipse.org/projects/timeline/index.php?projectid =technology.subversive
it says that the release on June 10th is supposed to be 0.7.0 but I guess
that is outdated).
As my personal fix for the missing announcements I use a service like
changedetection.com to watch the subversive changelog:
http://www.changedetection.com/log/org/eclipse/changelog_log .html . Not a
perfect solution but it works for me. And I keep hoping for improvement for
after the release.
Another thing that annoys me is that at the moment all the updates have the
same version number. When a coworker and I had some problems and he told me
'yes I alread use subversive 0.7.0' it took us quite some time to figure out
that not all 0.7.0 are the same but have major differences.
This, too, will hopefully change after the first "real" release of Eclipse
Subversive
