Are you using a hand-coded validation, or are you using GMF's validation
framework, i.e. have you specified your constraints as 'audits' in the
gmfmap model? In the latter case validation problems should
automatically be shown both in the problem view and as 'x'-markers on
the nodes and edges in the diagram.
