anyone out there using GEF/Draw2D to experiment with different graph
layout algorithms (or possibly even graph analysis algorithms -
planarisation etc etc)? I notice GEF already has implementations of
basic hierarchical layout and edge routing... are there plans to add
other algorithms?

Another question, how well does GEF scale up to extremely large diagrams
(with thousands or tens or even hundreds of thousands of node and edge
elements?)
