Eclipse 3.1M4 Linux-Motif crashes [message #17248]

I use JDK 1.4.2.

Is anyone familiar with this problem and can give me some advice?

I got the same problem, and eventually reverted back to 3.0.1 (Motif).

I have logged a bug (after searching for a bug of this type and not
finding one), and you can follow it here:

follow the status of it.

I would like know if the Motif eclipse Version is faster than Gtk version ?
which linux distribution are using ?

I am having the same problem with the GTK version on SUSE 9.1.
java2-1.4.2-129.10
