Can I make a Label selectable?? [message #182067] Mon, 19 January 2004 12:38

Hi,
I realize that it hasn't been foreseen that a Label should be selectable;
however, I have the following situation.

I have a view displaying a network of controlunits, which I have
implemented as Labels for a good reason. The labels have a context menu
(popup). I wanted to make use of the Lazy Loading Rule by building the
contents of my popup dynamically. This I wanted to achieve by having my
actions extend the popupMenus extension point for an objectContribution
for my Label class (DeviceLabel). The problem is that Labels aren't
selectable!
I didn't use the viewerContribution because I don't want to have the popup
to show whereever one clicks on the view; however, strictly on the
Labels(controlunits).
Can anyone please help.
thanx and cheers,
Lilith
