Start the ruler at a particular x, y coordinates. [message #181969] Fri, 20 May 2005 19:40 Go to next message

Hi,

Is it possible to show the horizontal and vertical rulers starting from the
(x, 0) position? Will the ruler shows the correct value? I mean the
horizontal rule shows 0 at that (x, 0) position. In other words, is it
possible to shift the origin?

I am currently using 3.1 M4. Does it have any big changes for the ruler
between M4 and M7?

Thanks,

Kev.

There is no API for this. You could possibly achieve this, however, if you
put your content figure in a figure that has its own coordinate system: one
that is translated horizontally by x.

No.

Hi Pratik,

I am newbie to this. Could you tell me which classes or functions I should
look at?

Thanks,

Kev.

Actually, my problem is my figure have two parts. The left part does not
have rulers while the right part does.

If I use my own coordinate system, it may affect the left part too. Can I
override the Ruler to make it shiftable?

Thanks,

Kev
