Web project from CVS source (missing Deployment Descriptor) [message #181672] Mon, 16 October 2006 20:44

Hello,

I have a scenario where I am checking out our J2EE project from CVS and
I am attempting to setup a Dynamic Web Project. My first question is
whether there is an easy way to go about creating a Dynamic Web Project
from checked out source? Maybe there is an Import Web Project from source?

Anyway, I got my project configured but I do not have a "Deployment
Descriptor" in my project explorer view. The web.xml file exists under
WEB-INF but eclipse does not recognize it. Is there a way to associate
my web.xml as the Deployment Descriptor. When I try to deploy it the
web.xml is never being copied over to the catalina codebase.

I hope there is an easier way to setup a web project from CVS source.

Thanks,

Anthony Bargnesi
