WTP Tutorials – Building and Running a Web Application

Everything seems ok until the end when I try to navigate to
http://localhost:8080/tutorial/snoop
according to the instructions.
I always get a 404 error, both from the internal web browser and an
external one.
I'm pretty sure I made the project correctly, because I can close
eclipse, deploy it with ant, and it works. (I just added a build.xml
and a build.properties file)
Now the tutorial is almost two years old, and I am using the latest
versions of eclipse (3.2.1) and wtp (I believe 1.1.1 ?). Perhaps some
of the information is out of date?
I think my problem is that I have no idea how to deploy and run the
application from within eclipse.
Can someone point me to a recent tutorial that works?

Its been a long time since I personally have looked at that tutorial (sorry
to admit that) ... but this gives me a good chance to remind readers of
this
newsgroup of a great way to contribute to WTP .... and that is to
provide "patches" to the tutorials, to either improve them or provide
corrections. Or ... what the heck, provide completely new ones!
I believe you can even use the Eclipse Wiki, if you'd like to make it
a "collaborative effort".
