Internal error when browsing Webdav target site [message #16962] Wed, 04 February 2004 12:11 Go to next message

Hello,

I have set up a Webdav connexion to a remote Sun Solaris 8 server running
Webserver 6.1. The target site is a URL targetting at a virtual IP address
on the server that hosts a web application.

Having added the FTP/Webdav plugin for Eclipse 2.1.2 and set up a project,
I am trying to browse the remote server (Team - Target site...) and get a
generic "internal error" whenever I do so (port # is properly configured
and accessed and permissions are not restrictive).

FTP connexion seems to be OK though. Using IE Web Folders and browsing the
remote server has also yielded positive results.

Am I missing something ?

Nobody has a clue as to why I keep getting this error message ?

The WebDAV protocol seems to bahave okay when it comes to Dreamweaver or
Windows Explorer (using NT4 Web Folders or XP Network Favorites).

Is the WebDAV protocol embedded in the Eclipse WebDAV/FTP plugin (2.1.2)
operational and really reliable ???
