I've been going through the BIRT tutorials searching for an explanation
on how I can generate cost and earnings pictures (+charts).
I have two tables in my db (receivables, payables - simplified).
Now what is the best way to create monthly/quarterly/yearly reports with
totals of both receivables and payables and a chart where I see both in
each month/quarter/year.
I am also wondering how I can prevent having to change all my queries if
I want to change the report to another quarter for example.
Then I am also wondering whether it is best to retrieve all receivables
in one data set and then group it in BIRT or whether I should have one
data set for each month, or one for the detailed view, etc..
I really would be happy if there are any examples, tutorials or links
which might clear things up a little..
