Debug existing C++ executable [message #179552] Mon, 13 November 2006 12:01
Eclipse UserFriend
I am running Eclipse 3.2.1 on Solaris (Sparc) 5.8 with CDT 3.1.1 and gdb
6.0.

When I try to debug an existing C++ executable (of size around 58MB), the
eclipse IDE hangs. What I did is the following. 1) File->Import: C/C++
Executable. I could select the executable. Then
2) I chose a new project because I don't want to build the executable.
3) Then the IDE hangs apparently when it building the launch
configuration. Any one saw this problem before?

Thanks in advance.
