I just installed eclipse 3.2.1 and went into the help->software updates ->
find and install.
I selected 'WTP Tools' and clicked 'select required'. Installed the plugin.
Now all the html,css, xsd, xml files are recognized but jsp files are not.
I checked and there was no extension for jsp in the content type assist. I
added manually the jsp to the html type, however now it does not recognize
java code inside.
Can anybody tell me what is the reason jsp was not recognized by the plugin
and how can I fix it? This assigning jsp as extension to html doesn't seem
to be the solution.

Sounds like maybe you installed the Web Standard Tools (WST) but not the
J2EE Standard Tools (J2EE). These are separate checkboxes under the "Web
and J2EE Development" category, on the Callisto Discovery Site in the update
manager.
