Suppress a Grid [message #1150246] Tue, 22 October 2013 12:44 Go to next message

Hi,

I'm new to BIRT reporting tool and looking help on suppressing a Grid. The below example will give you more clarity of the issue.

Grid-1 contains a row with two fields in two different columns i.e., Column-1: Field-A and Column-2: Field-B

Grid-2, which is below the Grid-1 also contains a row with two fields in two different columns i.e., Column-1: Field-D and Column-2: Field-D

If both Field-A and Field-B (of Grid-1) have null values then I would like to suppress the entire Grid-1 so that Grid-2 only displayed.

Can anyone please help me to solve this problem?

Thanks in advance.

PS: I'm using BIRT v2.5.1

Regards
Sachi

You should be able to use the visibility expression in the property editor to hide the grid based on the data. Let me know if you have questions.
