i'll quickly describe my problem (i'm new to GMF)

i have a model with several connected entities
some of these entities will be represented as nodes, and some as links
some of the entities have no graphical representation in diagram, but i
want to access and modify them

example:
entities: A, B, C, D
links: A linked to D, C represents the link, C linked to B
graphical diagram: A, D are nodes, C is a link, B are not represented
directly

the problem:
i'd like to add/remove/modify elements through the properties sheets of
the elements

example: access and modify B through C properties sheet (or something
analogous)

ps
maybe this is a trivial question, but i've serached in documentation and
tutorials and i didn't find any answer
