Hi all,
Please do yourself a favor an vote for Aptana integration here:
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=183586 :-)
This would really be a great move that can be realised in a short term. We
love that, isn't it?

My feature request:
I would like to propose to integrate at least some of the the great
capabilities of Aptana.
* Aptana has a synchronization feature with ftp(s)-support. One can cloak
file
extensions as wel as directory and file names so that they will be ingnored
during synchronization. This could however be improved by allowing specific
files (as identified by their pathname) to be ignored.
see docs at: http://www.aptana.com/docs/index.php/Synchronizing_your_file s

* Aptana has a really good javascript support. They provide code assist,
also
using phpdoc-like comments. See:
http://www.aptana.com/docs/index.php/Using_Code_Assist
It provides javascript debug support and they are so wise not to reinvent
the
weel, but they use Firebug:
http://www.aptana.com/docs/index.php/Inspecting_and_debuggin g_with_Firebug.

* The support for css and html is also better than the default eclipse.wtp.
It
provides context sensitive help and also give more fine-grained auto
completion. For example, in CSS when pressing '#', Aptana will popup al the
defined id's from the html.

Please have a look at their website. They aptana team is really helpful.
Also have a look at their planning
http://www.aptana.com/docs/index.php/Aptana_Roadmap, especially at the php
plans.

The best thing would be that we can create hybrid pdt/aptana projects and
that
the html/css/javascipt components we get from aptana are replaced by those
of
aptana.

I used Apanta for a while and I liked how it handles HTML/CSS/JS.
I agree to that in terms of that PDT needs better handling for those
languages as it handles php pretty awesome (duh! :D)

Cheers,
Ali
