Replace with HEAD Revision does not work [message #1140356] Wed, 16 October 2013 05:48 Go to next message

Hello

Sometimes when I want to revert my changes on a file, EGit still marks the file as changed. The strange thing is that sometimes it works fine.

I rightclick on the changed file and choose "Replace With" => "HEAD Revision". The changes are then reverted but the file is still marked as "changed".

My local branch is set to "master" and is in synch with the remote tracking branch "origin/master".

I'm running on Windows 7, Eclipse 4.3.1, EGit 3.1.0.
core.autocrlf is true
Preferences => General => Compare/Patch => Ignore white space (checkbox enabled).

Is there a better way to revert changes on files (not the whole repository)?
Is this a bug, should I create an issue?

greets
Flavio

I'm having the same issue here (same environment, same settings). Any new findings on it??

If core.autocrlf is set to true you may suffer from https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=372834
Try the egit nightly build which contains a fix solving this bug. You can install it from http://download.eclipse.org/egit/updates-nightly
