Debugger Hangs Eclipse on OS X [message #174072] Fri, 28 July 2006 09:45
Eclipse UserFriend
I am using the Calisto Release of Eclipse on OS X Intel and most of the
time when I try to run the debugger, eclipse hangs.
If I launch "top" from a terminal I can see my app running and the
gdb process, but eclipse never comes back. I usually have to "killall
eclipse" and relaunch Eclipse. This can take 4 or 5 iterations before
the debugger finally starts working.
Is there something that I can do to get a stack trace and post it
here to get some help on what is going on?

Does CDT make assumptions about where built binaries are? Mine are
not in a standard location as I prefer out of source builds. I am also
using CMake to generate my makefiles.

Thanks
Mike Jackson
