messages from the remote vm that would indicate why it failed. Append

How did you install VE? What version of Eclipse are you using?
VE's stable build only supports Eclipse 2.1.2 and you have to
download/install it through the files on the download page, not through CVS.
If you want to test the Eclipse 3.x support, I've been blogging about my
experiences with it in my personal blog at
http://www.coconut-palm-software.com There are detailed instructions
there describing how to get VE up and running in 3.0M5.
