Dear friends,

All EclipseUML 2008 features will be finished by the end of September
2008.
The Eclipse software market is currently struggling because of many
reasons (technical, quality, competition with small open source projects
doing the starting job but no more etc.....) and investing in launching
new software projects to be sold as a plugin is not appropriate anymore.

We currently have a lot larger team than needed to maintain our tool.
It was a long job to create this team and it will be a real waste not to
keep all these knowledges together.

Omondo is therefore looking for integration projects (related to Eclipse)
which could be:
- Upgrade to Eclipse 3.4
- New specific plugins
- DSL on the top of UML 2.1
- GEF, EMF training
- GEF and EMF expertise

If you just have an application to maintain, upgrade or create a new one
then it will be a lot cheaper and faster to outsource your project to
Omondo.
We are not just an integrator and can guarantee the quality of the project.
The ideal project would be a very complex and advanced EMF GEF JEE project
which is currently failing because of the problem to find new members in
the team.

We are currently one of the larger Eclipse research team in the world and
can provide advanced technology at affordable price.
For example, if you have a project to upgrade, or to extend and that your
team is not trained or too small, you will spend 10 times more money and
it could be 100 times longer project than giving it to Omondo and getting
it back few days later :-)
Note that this business opportunity is not just an outsource project but
the possibility to work directly with Omondo architects and with the best
eclipse specialists without paying a fortune in consulting and long talk
with no real code :-)

Thanks,

This business model based on Eclipse offshore integration is not
generating enough revenue. We are sorry we have to close this offer by the
end of 2008.
The research lab will therefore be closed and will only remain few members.

We hope that the Eclipse foundation will stop its new Eclipse build
strategy (Europa, Ganymede, Galileo in just three years).
Many companies which invested in Eclipse 3.3 in 2006 are now just after 18
months stuck. These companies don't also invest anymore in Eclipse and
this is bad for our ISV or integration market.
