cannot list contents of a plugin jar with jar -tvf [message #170598]

I recently upgraded to Eclipse 3.2 and cannot read a jar file with jar -tvf.

I get a message that says

Error in jar file format: zip style comment

I can still display the contents with the jar files that came from Eclipse
3.1.

Can someone please help me out on this?
