I don't know if there are any "official" hardware requirements, but
yours sounds like it is too weak. By the time the operating system
loads, your RAM will be down below 256MB, which is generally the minimum
setting used for running Eclipse. And 700MHz is going to be painful in
many areas.

That's a pretty low spec for running Eclipse, but it still shouldn't
throw disk errors. Have you done a scandisk recently? I would say that
with that cpu, you would need at LEAST 512MB; more if you have other
apps running in the background.
