How to refresh action contributed by AbstractContributionItemProvider? [message #15822]

I would like to add 'Select In Tree Viewer' action to diagram popup menu.
I've inherited AbstractContributionItemProvider and overrode createAction
method to construct my action. I need to update the action enablement
state when diagram selection changes. But how can I get necessary
selection change event from IWorkbenchPartDescriptor? Should I track
active part changes as well?
