I received this email from William Vambenepe in response to the
community agenda for this week. I'm posting it here to record the
feedback.
------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------
Hi Toni and all,
I just had a look at the slides and I need you to remove HP from the
list of the "initial community". We had asked to be removed from the
"initial community" list on the proposal (which was done) but somehow HP
re-appeared in the slides. Especially since the "initial community"
thinks that the proposal is "spot on". And especially since the slides
re-introduce aspects of the proposal that we had explicitly disagreed
with, such as the central data store and associated UI rather than
focusing on generic, extensible, standards-based monitoring components.
And also since the slides re-introduce specs (WSDM, ARM) that were
removed from the proposal on our request.
I know I wasn't on the call last week (because of the SML F2F) but that
silence didn't mean approval from HP to be re-integrated in the "initial
community". At this point, the only part of this work that HP is behind
is the SML tooling.
Regards,
William

Here is my reply to William's feedback:
William:
Thank you for catching the oversight. Mark Weitzel has made the updates
and posted the material to the wiki.
You also bring up a good point that our agenda for this week should
include review of any feedback/suggestions on the current proposal by
those who were not able to attend last week.
Please leverage the newsgroup to log your input. I look forward to your
participation in the community calls.
