I'm trying to run the TPTP profiler on Eclipse 3.2 (installed via the web
tools package), OS=Ubuntu 6.06, TPTP release=4.2.
Any time I try to profile an application, it errors out with:
Error occurred during initialization of VM
Could not find agent library on the library path or in the local
directory: piAgent.
The only thing I've found to try to resolve this is adding the directory
with libPiAgent.so to the library path via
-Djava.library.path=/opt/eclipse/plugins/org.eclipse.hyades. execution.linux.x86_4.2.0.v200606131519
That didn't work, and I have no idea what else to do.

You need to add a couple of libraries that aren't part of the standard
Ubuntu install. The libraries are libstdc++6 and libstc++glibc2.10.
There is a thread about the problem in the TPTP news group titled Agent
controller problem

the second one... this is kind of a question that should be more aimed at

thought I'd ask anyway: where do I find that second library?

I was able to install it with Synaptic. I remember that searching for
glibc in Synaptic didn't return the actual library. However, selecting
the libxxxglibc that was found automatically selected the 2.10 library as
a dependency. I removed the installation request on the library I had
originally selected and only installed the libstc++-glibc2.10 package.
You may need to enable some of the optional repositories in order for it
to show up.
