Same problem here. I think M5 is broken in some way.

Look at <workspace>/.metadata/.log

I think you will see many error at start-up.

Also, the update site is broken. Error 403 for
http://download.eclipse.org/webtools/milestones/features/

Assume someone is working on this problem. ?????

Can you be more specific about the errors you're seeing? Did you
remember to install the correct versions of GEF, JEM, and
EMF/SDO/XSD as well?
