Specifying plugin locations at startup (-plugincustomization) [message #161864] Tue, 25 November 2003 18:51
Eclipse UserFriend
Hi,

I am installing Eclipse in a multi-user environment using Moduels
(modules.sf.net) and now need to be able to pinpoint for Eclipse where external
(linked) plugins are located dynamically at startup.

I looked in the documentation
( http://help.eclipse.org/help21/index.jsp?topic=/org.eclipse. platform.doc.user/t
asks/running_eclipse.htm) and there are three switches that seem to be of
interest:

-configuration configurationFileURL

-plugincustomization propertiesFile

-plugins pluginsFileURL (this is depracted however)

The way I figured it out I should be able to use -plugincustomization (-plugins
would work, but it is deprecated).
Am I right and if so, how does this file look like?

Thanks in advance.
