I am not getting the pdf output in BIRT 2.0.1. What needs to be done to
render BIRT to display the pdf? Coz IE is not displaying the report and
firefox says file doesnot contain %PDF- when i set format=pdf

Do you have the itext plugin in the correct folder?
It needs to be in place in order for the pdf rendering to work.

yes i have the itext jar at the rt place . Do i need to write some java
code to enable BIRT pdf output.

How big is your itext.jar file? It happended to me two times that I downloaded the
file and it was only 19kb big instead of 1.09mb

If the itext file is definately in the correct place, you probably have
errors in your report.

Does the report compile when you preview as an html? If it does when you
use the preview tab at the bottom of the report, and there are no errors
at the bottom of the preview, I can't think of anything other than the
itext plugin being in the wrong place that would cause the problem. Maybe
you need to re-install Eclipse.
