Updates Notification on Papyrus Models [message #1085853] Tue, 13 August 2013 09:13 Go to next message

Hi,
I would like to add an Updates Notification system to my papyrus models stored in a remote database. For example, if a user modify a model, his name and the time of modification will be shown in the Model Repositories View. I would like to know how to start.
thanks Smile

Hi,

You should probably start with a review of the available CDO documentation:

http://wiki.eclipse.org/CDO

http://help.eclipse.org/kepler/topic/org.eclipse.emf.cdo.doc/html/reference/index.html

The CDO API certainly makes it possible to listen for remote changes to
the repository contents. There are plenty of examples and unit tests
that do just that.

The Model Repositories view is implemented in the
org.eclipse.papyrus.cdo.ui plug-in. It isn't designed to allow
extenders to contribute additional content, though I don't know that
this is actually what you intend to do.

HTH,

Christian
