Unable to debug large executables [message #1085713]

Hi

Helios, CDT: 7.0, GCC: 4.5.2, GDB: 7.2, Ubuntu 11.04/64

We have a large 32-bit application (elf size ~2GB) and suddenly we are no more able to debug this application. Within Debug Configuration the error message: "Program is not a recognized executable" appears. Debugging on console with gdb is working. It is also working to debug the application with gdbserver and make an "C/C++ Attach to Application" debug configuration. But not with local binary debug configuration.

Have somebody any ideas? Are there any file size limitations?
