I have a problem with eclipse 3.2.0. I have installed it both in windows
and Linux with some extra plugins like CDT etc. and worked just fine for a
month about. Then suddenly when i try to open it it couldn't start with an
error
"Error notifying a preference change listener.Check the log for details".
this seems to be a systematic error because it happened both in windows
and linux distribution.what is going on?
(Sorry for my English)

As Randy says, make sure that you have the actual released version of
Eclipse 3.2, not a release candidate or milestone build.
Also, did you check the log for details? Did it say anything? It should
have given you a stack trace, or at least the name of the plug-in issuing
the message. That information will be helpful in diagnosing the problem.
The log is in your workspace, at [workspace root]/.metadata/.log.
