Hello,

I installed the Java PetStore 1.3.2 application on my Windows XP
computer. The application runs using the J2EE SDK 1.3.1 (using J2SE
1.4.2_04) built-in app server. As a learning exercise I want to debug
through the PetStore appication using Eclipse. For starters I have
imported all of PetStore's source code into Eclipse.

My question: How can I start the J2EE app server in debug mode and
connect to it using Eclipse so I can debug through the application?

I've looked at the Debug Configuration window and under Connection
Properties, I'm guessing I need to supply a host (localhost, I'm
guessing) and a Port. What port do I use? I'm guessing that needs to
be specified when starting the J2EE app server. How do I start the J2EE
app server in debug mode and specify a port?

Thank you very much!!

Ryan
