Is anyone able to use the AST for modiyfing not opened files in the Java editor? [message #159452]

I have never managed to create a CompilationUnit in order to make
modifications on it when the java files are not opened in the Java editor.
So it is possible and could you give me tips on how to do so?

I only succeeded in geting a File and its associated ICompilationUnit
and IDocument from an AbstractTextEditor.
