I don't know why but I have the feeling that a lot of people are working in
DSL tooling but disconnected from each other.

I, for one, was totally clueless as to the NetBeans variant of TMF (or IMP,
or you name it)

That's an example of external DSLs at work. To leave everyone happy, I'll
also mention an example that struck me as a small masterpiece of the
Internal DSL variety:

Embedded Typesafe Domain Specific Languages for Java
Jevgeni Kabanov, Rein Raudj
