It's certainly a good idea. I know in my projects that use xdoclet
merge files, eclipse marks the xml fragments as invalid files, though
there's no <?xml denotation at the top of the file. Since I currently
keep my xdoclet files in the WEB-INF folder, i wouldn't want to turn off

I added exactly what you said (about XDoclet merge files) to the bug comments
some time ago. Maybe you should vote on it, up to now there was no reaction at
