Icons don't change when errors and warnings are found [message #157776]

I have a large C application and for a while when I did a build and got
warnings or errors, the icons for those files would have a yellow or red (or
both) marker on the file in the file list. When I do a build now, the
warnings and errors are viewable if I know which file to look at but the
yellow or red markers in the file list don't show up any more, it always has
a ?. This makes it difficult to find the files that have these warnings and
errors. What did I break?
