Hi,

has any one running WTP with an Websphere Applikation Server 6.
I have configured all ( I think proberply) but when i try to start the
Server from Eclipse i get an error message that an error starting WAS has
occured thats all no more output and no messages on the console.

Where can I get more Information ?

Tomcat 5 is working fine but I must use Websphere at work.

Thanks for any advice.

I gave WTP a spin with WAS 6.0. I did run into some problems at first,
probably because I specified the wrong JDK. I corrected it in the
server configuration and I can get WTP to start up WAS 6.

However, I'm still having difficulty. The application starts up fine.
But WTP is not aware of this and never realizes that app server has
completed its start-up. I've seen this same behavior in RAD. There, it
happens when you try to point to a new WAS 6 profile. The launch
configuration provides a drop-down box for which profile you desire.
But it doesn't adjust the bootstrap port. This has to be done manually.
Then it all works.

But I see no place on the WTP server configuration to specify the
bootstrap port.

The similarity of the symptoms may be incidental. I haven't had much
time to investigate. But I have seen other customers use WTP against
WAS 6, and even run through scenarios in debug mode.

I'm not sure why the WAS connector for WTP is so sparsely documented.
