Hi,
In the Eclipse Wiki, we have some pages that were created before we used clear page naming conventions. Those pages are now redirection pages.
For example:
Scout/Tutorial/Add a form
Is now a redirection to one page of the "Mini CRM Tutorial" (that is now versioned):
* Current redirection:
Scout/Tutorial/3.8/Minicrm/Add a form to edit the data
* Should be a redirection to:
Scout/Tutorial/3.9/Minicrm/Add a form to edit the data
We are now facing the fact that all these redirections pages need to be updated to 3.9 (which correspond to the Kepler Version of Eclipse Scout).
Unfortunately Redirection link using a template are not valid:
This is a valid link (inside a page):
Go to [[Scout/Tutorial/{{ScoutCurrentVersion}}/Minicrm/Add a form to edit the data|this page]]
But this won't work as redirection:
#REDIRECT [[Scout/Tutorial/{{ScoutCurrentVersion}}/Minicrm/Add a form to edit the data]]
On the other side, no page link to these pages (example for Scout/Tutorial/Add a form):
Toolbox > What links here > Scout/Tutorial/Add a form
And the redirection are old enough so that everybody has time to update there bookmarks.
We are wondering if instead of updating all our redirection to work with 3.9 it is possible to remove these pages?
I think those only MediaWiki administrators are allowed to delete page.
What is the process at eclipse? Is it possible (or against an eclipse policy) Should we open a bug in bugzilla?
Thanks a lot for your answer.
