In our current application (that we are replacing with a scout application) the user has the possibility to switch between languages on the login screen.

I understand (from a discussion on how to customise the login screen) that at the time the login screen is shown, the decision which resource file to use for NLS texts has already been taken and it is too late to overwrite it at that stage.

As the feature of switching languages is mostly used by our support group when translating, testing translations and writing the multi-language user guide, this is not tragic.

However, I still need a way to start my application with a configurable language. Am I right that the only way to do this is by passing a suitable locale string to the application using the "-nl " option?
