Websphere 5.1 is not supported by WTP. But, configuring and setting up a 5.1 server should not be a problem because the Generic server configuration is XML based and you can re-use the Websphere 6.0 configuration as there ANT scripts used to start / stop / deploy apps haven't changed much between 5.1 and 6.0

We are still working on getting a working configuration.
