GEF support in Eclipse 4.x [message #1064015] Mon, 17 June 2013 05:44 Go to next message

Hi there,
I saw the release notes of 2.0.0 saying that
"Currently, GEF figures can only be tested in AUT's written
with Eclipse 3.x versions.", do we have any plans to support GEF in Eclipse 4.x?

I had a try with Jubula 2.0.0 and Eclipse 4.2, only to find that the Canvas cannot be recognized, although I can map it by "Ctrl+Shift+Q". The inspector doesn't work either, if I enable Inspector, no response when I click the figure.

Thanks in advance!
Tom

There are problems with GEF 3.x, e4 and Jubula. We have no plans (meaning no resources) off solving them. Instead we'll wait for GEF 4.x which will be compatible with pure e4and do it right for that version.

Hi,
I'm actually using Jubula with my QA team for an RCP application testing , Everything was OK and test was running perfectly till we upgrade our AUT to eclipse 4.4 , GEF are not supported anymore and this is a big problem for us because everything in the AUT depends on the GEF part. is there any news about GEF supporting ? the Canvas can be recognized with the object mapping but the inspector cannot interact with components ...
